I am certain my overall strength and cardiovascular endurance are better now after age 40 than at any time in my 20s and 30s.
I really enjoyed getting into the community of CFK and working out with the same individuals on a regular basis and getting to know folks.
Confidence, it’s hard to not be more confident when you physically and emotionally/mentally feel better about yourself.
When I started, I had a resting heart rate of 82 bpm; it’s now around 68 bpm. My blood pressure was 140/80 and now it’s 120/78.
I kick myself all the time because I never took my measurements from the beginning so I don’t know how many inches I’ve lost.
Prior to starting CrossFit, I used to judge my fitness by getting on a scale, which most days was depressing & demotivating.
